Okay, time for a pregnancy update... last Monday I had a ultrasound/dr. appt for my 37th week. The ultrasound was to measure my big boy. He was estimated to weigh 8 pounds 1 ounce! Keep in mind that it is just an estimate, but I'm still a little nervous about that. Everything is normal and my doctor said she would induce when I hit 39 weeks (a whole week early!). Not early enough it seems... Early yesterday morning (12:00 am) I started to feel really crampy. By 3:00, there were contrations about plus or minus 6 mins, but they weren't very strong at all. Needless to say I didn't get a wink of sleep and Tim slept very lightly, not to mention he felt like he would throw up from the nerves! (I swear he is worse than me). So after a early morning of going back and forth about whether or not it was real labor, worthy of a hospital visit, we finally decided we should go get it checked out. Mid morining we went to the hospital to see the triage nurse in the labor and delivery department. Very nice nurse. She hooked me up to the monitors and checked to see where I was at ( I have yet to be checked, that was going to start this coming Monday dr. appt.) She said that I was at a solid 3cm and my cervix was very thin. If in a hour there was progression I would be admitted. An hour later there wasn't any real progression, so I was sent home. How frusterating!! I feel like I never have had a baby before seeing that Abigail was induced. Feeling frustrated and dissapointed, I proceeded to clean my house and Tim went to work as scheduled. The contractions eventually went away once I was asleep in bed. Oh well, I think it will be sooner than my 39th week at least! Or maybe not, who knows? All I know is that I'm ready to meet this little guy and stop torturing my poor anxiety ridden husband!!
All that is needed is a little baby sleeping in this crib all night! (if I'm so lucky)
My collection of baby boy clothes, so far... I guess the upside of not having him yet is that I will make it to the shower my sisters are throwing for me tomorrow! The fondue planned is enough to keep me excited!!
